Default New Airsoft sniper rifle

hello, I started playing airsoft a while ago and I'm now thinking about buying a sniper rifle. But as any new one on the field I rather check with more experienced players for advice and thoughts

I like the classic sniper rifles with single shots and high Initial bullet speed (by using gas or normal reload), but I have also been thinking about making a semi sniper / support rifle, by using the Type-89 or H&K G3 SG/1, both have longs barrels for good stability, even though the Initial bullet speed aint as high on these guns as on for example on the Super X-9, you do get a larger amount of bb's and you have both semi and full auto (and burst on the Type-89).

These are just my thoughts, and would be great if you could also recommend rifles and scopes.
Prices can vary around 500€, of course the option with type 89 as a sniper rifle would be more expensive

Looking forward to your replies
Cheers: Rolle

all depends on what you're more into. ive mentioned this in toher threads but ill say it again.

using an AEG as a sniper isnt really a good idea. it gets rid of the usefullness of the automatic capabilities. if youre doing to do anything with an aeg as far as long range capabilities go, mod. it for use as a DMR (designated marksman rifle)

if youre wanting a balls out sniper rifle, go with either spring or gas.

it depends though. i was used to shooting gas snipers, and the furst time i shot a spring cought me off guard. gas bold actions have an easy smooth bolt, where as spring ones require alot of force to push it back, especially if you upgrade it to 550 pfs, which around here seems to be the limit for bolt action snipers.

if you're worried about the cooldown effect, there are ways around it. you can use green gas in normal weather with some upgreades, and when its cold you can use red gas, providing it doesnt shit the bb out at a speed of over 550 fps. (upgrades are internal, basically a way to reasure yourself that you gun wont explode. maximize performance and wahtnot, becuase red gas is alot more powerful than green.)

Ah nice to know
But I think I'll start with a springload sniperrifle, tried one yesterday and it seems nice + I'm not conserned about the amount of strength needed to load it.
And as it will be my first sniper rifle I figgure it's better to buy something cheap first and buy something better later.
I currently have my eyes on this http://www.proairsoft.com/acatalog/info_UA_315_.html rifle, as it's only 200€ and comes with both a scope and a bipod

bad idea. if you start with something cheap and crappy it'll possibly give you a bad impression of how all snipers are.

by the way, where are you from?

Finland

hm I see your point, I have had eyes on the Maruzen APS Type 96 but I can't find it in any finnish online shop at the moment, or there's one but they don't have it in storage.
But one option is just to order one from abroad, even though I might have to pay more for it in the customs but have too see.

If you know of any good spring sniper rifles it would be nice.

please don't get a sniper rifle enless you plan on using it because having and being a sniper takes patience and ur not always going to be in the action if that does'nt bother u than great.I would definintely get a spring sniper rifle there more reliable than gas or electric.I reccomend getting a jg bar-10 is one of the best air soft gun for the price its about $165.00 in the us.if u don't want to spend that much u might want to take a look at a jg m700 I have one and its an awsome gun for the pice about $75.00 us.so any way hope this helped out.and good luck
