What is up with the Website

Man, if the fourms is going to go down for almost a month at a time maby we should move the while operation over here?

what does everyone think?

i liked the other fourms better but they have been down for nearly thee weeks.

The database became corrupt. While a back up was being made a hard drive failed and our website ended up getting clipped, so we lost enough of our bbs to disable it.

Right now we're trying to instal a back up from february to restore the database and fix the forums, but it seems to have errors in it. We're going to try a few different things to iron out the wrinkles and get it running again. So right now we are faced with two things happening: we get it figured out and we're put back to february, or it's gone and we just start the forums from scratch.

I don't think it's the best idea to switch to these forums. It will be better to have our own forums so we are in control of them and they can be under the same FAAPA banner, instead of piggybacking on this site which makes our organization seem less sophisticated. It's a lot of trouble for people to get into this forum in the first place since they first have to find it, then send a PM and comfirm their identitiy, have us add them to the group and so on. Plus things will become very disorganized since we will be limited to one section. Imagine all of the topics from our forum crammed into here. If we absolutely must get a new forum, we should get a pro-boards or something so it is at least our own and we can have it properly organized. I don't think it will be nessisary though. From now on we will be constantly backing up the forums so it will never fail like this ever again. If something happenes to our database, we will have several copies to chose from just incase one of them becomes corrupted because all admin will from now on be responcible for backing up the forums at least once every two weeks. If someone other than Chuck and I had a back up more recent than Cold War, we would be in business already. Most of the wait was seeing how old Chuck's back up was, meanwhile going through every little bit on the server, trying to find enough remains of the forums to peice together to get it working; both of those took a long time.

me and a few other guys just started play and dont really have a place to play and would also love some more players.. right now we got 4 to 6 guys so we could use some more people for some better games. how many people do you normally play with?

if we find a field we could definetly start getting together every sunday seeing as your availabe on the weekends and thats when we normally play. we just need to find a good place to play not to far..

I didnt understand. Should I purge or not?

I use census and dont do censusdate...
Now what Im trying is purging data in the morning, running census some times with /reloadui as soon as possible and submitting it at night.
