Default Need some help Choosing a gun...and other "noob stuff"

Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but seems like a good enough place. Well anyway, i have recently taken a big intrest in Airsoft, thanks to my good buddy DWilkerson. And although im sure ive bored him to death asking questions and getting opinions, i still feel a bit unerknowlaged (is that even a word?).

Well i guess the first place to start would be my weapon of choice. Im simply looking for something to get me into the sport but also have something that is sturdy enough until i can spend a little extra dough. Ive been looking mainly at the Echo 1's as they tend to be on the slightly less expensive side, and seem of good quality. But again im at a loss as to which is really worth it and which arnt. I suppose another good place to start is my choice in weapons. Ive always been fond of the typical M4/M16 but im mainly looking for something "unique", something that people rarely use. Thats why ive always loved the G36 series, the G36K in particular. Another is the SCAR. Its a pretty unique weapon that i love the look of and seems to be a pretty reliable weapon. Other then that im a bit at a loss of options for stuff under 230-ish. Full metal/mostly metal is what i prefer too. Ive also been looking at the AA L85. So again any suggestions would be great! Im trying to get the best for my money!

Next is gear. Im a bit unsure of an army surplus store here in Chesterfield Virginia, but i mainly just want stuff to be both practical, and bad ass looking. Namly this. And some gun accesories would be great too, anything from a red dot sight to a flashlight and laser attatchment. Obviously price is a factor in all this. And i want only what i need to get started.

This is about as far as ive gotten so far, please any comments, suggestions, or opinions post them here. I need about all the info and help i can get. Thanks a ton in advance!

Oh and my limit right now is 230 for the gun itself and right around 100 for everything else.

http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_...oducts_id=29119

tada

also, its inner body is m4, so its like EXTREMELY customizable.

i have its AWESOME

as for gear, i wear just a basic camo outfit i picked up at the thrift store, with a cheap paintball mask for like $10.

buy your bbs off of airsplat.com, always ALWAYS be sure to use .20g bbs with the above gun, if you dont, like half of them will go flying to the left or right because theyre so light

hope i helped

The Thundermaul sure is unique. Your budget can you get a good selection to choose from. If you want some full metal stuff, there is the A&K SR-25, which gets really good reviews. It is like a carbine so it matches your "m4/ m16" style and it is unique.

If you want to move away from the carbines, JG recently came out with a full metal version of the AK47 Tactical, which is a really nice gun.

You may also want to look into the Dboys/Boyi guns since many of them feature full metal bodies and gearboxes and fits your price range.

As for gears, BB's, and other stuff, any camo will make you look badass . I stick with the Taigear BB's because I know they are of good quality, and very affordable. Yes, be sure to use .20g BB's to keep good accuracy.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
